I had to have the perfect smile, the award-winning smile. I did my research and Dr Frankl was the best person who could do that for me because he was one of the first that used Invisalign. I would highly recommend Dr Frankl because he is so professional.
‘Orthodontics’ is a field of dentistry which addresses problems with tooth alignment.
When your teeth do not line up properly in your mouth, this can negatively affect the appearance of your smile and the health of your mouth.
Orthodontic treatment involves the use of appliances such as braces, clear aligners and retainers to move teeth and keep them in ideal alignment. The appliances put steady and gentle pressure on your teeth to help them move through the bone in your mouth.
Getting a straighter smile will make you feel more confident in your appearance as you will no longer have to worry about whether people are looking at your crooked teeth.
The benefits do not end there, however.
Teeth straightening may also:
It may surprise you to learn that orthodontic treatment can have so many benefits. This is because straight teeth are healthy teeth and if your teeth are out of alignment, then they do not fit together and function as they should. Poorly aligned teeth can trap more plaque bacteria and change the feel of your bite, so correcting tooth alignment with braces or aligners can lead to a reduction in the problems caused by crooked teeth.
The most noticeable benefit of teeth straightening, however, is that your smile will look amazing when your treatment is finished.
Here at Lotus Clinic in Golders Green, we offer multiple orthodontic treatments that can help you get a more beautiful and even-looking smile.
Invisalign® is a very popular brand of clear aligners and we are proud to offer Invisalign® here in Golders Green.
People from all over the North London area visit us to get a personalised Invisalign® treatment plan.
These aligners are made from a BPA-free, clear plastic and each tray is custom-fit to your upper and lower teeth. You will wear a set that consists of one upper and one lower tray for a period of at least two weeks before moving onto a new set. Each set puts pressure on specific points of your teeth to guide them gently into proper alignment.
We also offer our very own in-house brand of clear aligners.
These aligners are similar to Invisalign® except that we will fabricate your trays on site in our Golders Green dental practice.
The Inman Aligner™ is a special orthodontic device which focuses on straightening front teeth.
This kind of aligner is made of titanium and consists of two arches, or bows, positioned around a spring mechanism. When the aligner is in place, your upper or lower front teeth will fit neatly between the two metal arches with one arch resting behind your teeth and one on the front of them.
The spring puts tension on the two metal bows and they gently press on your teeth from both sides. The aligner extends to the sides of your mouth and rests over your back teeth for support.
Because the Inman Aligner™ only brings your front teeth into healthy alignment, it can deliver results in as little as 6-18 weeks. This kind of aligner will only work for you if you have just a few crooked front teeth. You may need an alternative treatment if you have more complex tooth alignment problems. Inman aligners are visible in the mouth, but they are removable so you can take your out any time for meals or social events.
Six Month Smiles®
Six Month Smiles® is a teeth-straightening system that can get results with either clear braces or clear aligners in an average of six months.
This treatment is ideal for patients over the age of 16 who have mild tooth alignment problems.
Preserve the progress you have worked so hard to achieve with braces by wearing a custom-made orthodontic retainer.
In the months after you finish orthodontic treatment, your teeth are prone to shifting back to their former alignment. It takes time for the bone around your tooth roots to firm up and hold them in their new positions. Wearing a retainer regularly will keep your teeth from moving.
I wanted to get my teeth aligned and to close my gap with Invisalign, and I’m so happy I chose this clinic. Previously I visited a couple of Dental clinics before I came here and I’m glad I chose The Lotus Clinic.
The staff is very warm and friendly, especially Dayna was very helpful when I wanted to book appointments over the phone or if I had any questions to be answered. Most importantly, I chose this place because of Dr Frankl, I’m so happy I chose him to work on my teeth. Throughout my treatment he was very dedicated, patient and he did a FANTASTIC job!!! Which I really appreciate. Also, he would never hesitate to see me if I had any issue with my trays in between my treatment. Thank you very much...😊

Here is what to expect when you have orthodontic treatment at Lotus Dental Clinic:
When it comes to cosmetic teeth alignment, you have many treatment options.
In fact, you likely know about several clear aligner companies that make custom-fit aligners you can order online. With such simple and convenient treatment choices available, is it really necessary to see a dentist?
It is much safer to have a dental professional make your orthodontic aligner. When you order aligners from a remote company, the team that prescribes and designs your aligners does not have the chance to properly evaluate your dental health and orthodontic needs.
True, these companies can evaluate photographs and moulds of your teeth which you take at home, but they cannot fully assess your oral health or take X-rays to check your tooth roots. In order to prescribe the appropriate orthodontic treatment, a dental professional must have a complete picture of your dental health needs. Clear aligner treatment is not advisable for everyone so it is best to visit a dentist who can give you a personalised recommendation.
What if something goes wrong during your clear aligner treatment? If you have a problem during your treatment, then it will be easier to address if you can personally visit the dentist who prescribed your clear aligners and who is familiar with your situation. You may find it difficult to get the one-on-one help you need when you order your treatment from a remote clear aligner company.
Our dental team at Lotus Clinic in Golders Green has many years of experience in creating beautiful smiles with clear aligners and other orthodontic appliances. We welcome you to visit our practice where your clear aligner treatment will be overseen in-person by trained and experienced professionals. There are often multiple factors that play into your natural tooth alignment. Teeth can develop wide gaps between them or become crowded as a result of:
Regardless of the cause, the team at Lotus Dental Clinic can help you enjoy the benefits of having straight teeth. We will work with you to identify and possibly treat the underlying cause of your crooked teeth and then bring them back into line with one of our orthodontic treatments.
The only way to find out which treatment is best for straightening your teeth is to visit a dental professional in-person for an orthodontic evaluation. You can have your teeth checked for free to find out which treatment will work best in your unique situation. Our doctors will take into consideration your personal preferences and your need for any other dental treatment before making a treatment recommendation.
Yes, teenagers are usually excellent candidates for Invisalign® so your son or daughter could qualify for clear aligners. Many young people are interested in cosmetic orthodontic treatment that is discreet and convenient. Clear aligners made in-house here at Lotus Clinic or by the Invisalign® company could be an excellent solution for your teenager’s teeth alignment issue.
We recommend that you book a consultation for your child to find out whether or Invisalign® is right for him or her.
We offer dental treatment for families in the North London area so we are eager to help your teenager get a beautiful smile!
Where the tooth alignment issue is purely cosmetic, then crooked or widely spaced teeth may be masked with dental veneers instead of straightened with an orthodontic appliance.
However, poor tooth alignment may be more than just an aesthetic concern. If your teeth are misaligned to the point that your bite is affected or the health of your teeth or gums is compromised, then the wisest solution is to straighten your teeth. Masking that kind of issue with veneers may not be enough to address the underlying problem and keep your mouth healthy.
Schedule an orthodontic consultation to find out what your treatment needs are. An experienced dentist will let you know whether you need braces or clear aligners or whether you can hide the flaw with a well-placed dental veneer.
Yes, you should expect to wear an orthodontic retainer after completing a course of treatment in braces or clear aligners. A retainer ensures that your teeth stay in place so that you do not lose any of the progress made with your orthodontic treatment.
Your teeth are most prone to relapse shortly after your treatment is finished, but they can continue to shift for months and years afterward. This means that you may need to wear a retainer for a long time after your braces come off.
Some people only need to wear their retainer for a few months after wearing braces while others need to wear their retainer for many years. Your dentist will give you a customised recommendation on wearing your retainer and will continually monitor your progress to ensure that your smile stays strong, straight and sparkling for a lifetime!
‘Invisible braces’ is a general term that refers to orthodontic appliances which are very discreet. Such appliances are designed to have little visibility so that others will not notice that you are wearing them. Some adults choose to straighten their teeth with invisible braces so as to keep their treatment a secret and avoid attracting unwanted attention to their mouths.
There are two main types of invisible braces: clear aligners and tooth-coloured traditional braces. Clear aligners are made of a transparent material that allows the natural colour and shape of your teeth to shine through. Tooth-coloured braces are traditional wires and brackets that are made with materials that blend in with the hue of your teeth so that they are not so readily visible when you smile.
We offer both treatments here at Lotus Dental Clinic and we can help you determine which is right for you when you book an initial consultation with us.
I had a six month smile brace at the lotus clinic, Dr Frankl was very caring friendly and amazing at his job! I was given a free consultation and a very reasonable price for the treatment. I love the end results of my brace and I would definitely recommend to everyone interested in straightening their teeth x
